closure of parts of telford hospital

its good to hear that talks are still ongoing and are being taken seriously. The facts, growing town, population growing.People visiting growing good hospital is essential.. Lack of money for investment in health service and training, so why is money being wasted. £28 million was put into building Woman and Children's Centre 5 yrs ago.so why hasn't that been improved on Throwing money at things doesn't work, what are the priorities, looking and listening to people who work in hospital and also patients and local population. We use to have a saying flog a dead horse till it drops, meaning loyal staff are working under increased pressure. Ambulance drivers, getting to patient and hospital quickly, long, frustrating hours for nurses because of lack of beds, no time to care. I hope we are all aware of the many issues involved, life and death. Future Fit downgrading Telford's Princess Royal is not a plausible decision, they are just putting extra pressure somewhere else and basically playing with peoples lives.

Well done Shaun Davies and thank you for your persistence in this matter. It was deemed 20 years ago that Telford needed an A and E. With the population growth since then and in the immediate future it seems absolutely mad that it isn't needed now. Twice my life has been saved at the PRH (heart attacks) so I feel strongly about this. Thankfully we have a Labour council to keep pushing this issue.

future fit

In the late seventies and eighties with a young growing family we welcomed the building of the PRH Now we are both in our seventies my wife still needing hospital care from time to time..Having to travel to RSH .Is time consuming and very tiiring Three years ago my three year old grandson, spent two weeks in the new state or art maternity unit at the PRH,With the excellent care he had .He is a heathy 3yr running about. It is sad the Future Fit may be closing the wonderful Childrens Department and A @ E.

keeping prh within telfor

may i add my two pennywoth to this ongoing debate.. I am an elderly gentleman of 82 years of age. If it had not been for prh 63 years after , having suffered massive heart att.ack i would not be here. after all these years , the town has trebled in size and people are still having life given heart attacks. the journey involved to Shrewsbury is gong to prove fatal. so why is the situation such a problem?. Keep ther PRH.

Future of SaTHT

Thank you for continuing the fight for Princess Royal hospital services and the wanton waste of the £28,000,000 invested in women's and children's services. The independent review panel should be made to read and acknnowledge the comments of local residents/service users and take them into account when considering their decisions.Keep up the pressure and the defence of our vital services.
