Downgrade of PRH A&E

I have just carefully read the 8 current comments linked to the above subject & rather than repeat I would like to say I wholeheartedly agree particularly with the one posted by Phil Johnson regarding the population numbers etc.

downgrading PRH

how utterly typical of the powers that be (who we fund) should decide our fate at the stroke of a pen. In a fast growing area due to the needs for homes, jobs etc the reasoning can only be that they (the establishment) no longer see us worthy of care. This constitutes social engineering by culling the surplus population .... I thought the Dickensian times we're gone .... perhaps not.

A & E closure / downgrade .

In all simplicity , how can anyone with an ounce of common sense move the main A & E unit and childrens unit from a relatively young town with a current population of around 175,000 to a "medieval Town " with an ageing population of approx 72,000 ? For the sake of our childrens future and their safety , think again. Not to mention , that some three years ago , 28 million pounds were used to create a new Childrens unit at TELFORD.If that decision was wrong , who made it and based on What criteria ?

A&E closure

At least at the local level, Lucy Allan MP, does not seem to have been very active until too late in this debacle. She seems to have worked against, or in ignorance of, local activists, who have worked hard to fight Future Fit.

PRH

As Telford is a 24 /7 town with lots of industries working 24/7 surely that means core hours are all day and night three hundred and sixty five days of the year.

PRH services for all

We need All.services kept at it isn't.fair on.Telford.people .I don't.want.to go to The royal Shrewsbury and.will refuse No matter what

Betrayal

Of course this is no surprise. A hospital either has an A&E or it doesn't. Anything less than a 24 hour full service is not A&E and this proposed arrangement is NOT A&E. Telford residents have been betrayed by the SATH Trust and treated like idiots by the Secretary of State. Let's bear that in mind at the forthcoming General Election.

PRH TELFORD

Why would Hammond choose Shrewsbury A&E over PRH A&E ? I have not seen any logical reason for this to happen anywhere ? Or was it just a nod and a wink between him and another MP ? There is no justification for a population of three times the number of citizens to be overlooked for as I see it to keep the Welsh NHS happy by treating their citizens in Shrewsbury. We need A&E available 24/7 and not 9/5 as it surely will be. This decision could reflect on the way we in the Telford areas vote at the next GE

PRHA&E

This is a ridiculous downgrade of services, are these politicians in the real world....Telford continues to grow in population...
